Week 3 - In Medias Res





Ok, so week three. We are not in the middle of the project, but we have jumped ahead. Its more interesting and the project is more defined and picking speed.

Week 3:

Final character design with colour - finished thanks to Ed


T-Pose is also completed to begin sculpting.


I did Project Planning this week (uploading thumbnails)


I also did some environment and concept art. For this I modelled a basic hut to be placed in the grey box in the starting area.


I also research into building games in Unity, for example the Beast light mapping tool, the mecanim animation tool and project organisation. I also collected assets which will be placed in the grey box temporary to confirm design ideas and layout.

Paul created a game layout plan then turned it into a Grey Box. (images coming)

Ben finalised the Boss design and create a driftwood zombie design.

Joe has been reading up on more code C# and will begin codding in week 4.

Terrain attempt - I turned Paul's drawing of the level design into Photoshop Raw file to import in to unity, played around for a while with this however it was not successful.

Project Setup


Using two Trello Boards to keep track of the group project, so we can see what everyone is doing. Didn't want to use two many boards and nullify its use. Keeping it means there is too much for everyone to keep track off





Also using google drive, just one 15 Gb, however we each have our accounts if we need to increase
